The Araluen Theatre is available for hire to commercial and community hirers. The facility caters for theatre productions, film screenings, conferences, special functions, festivals and events. The Araluen Arts Centre presents an annual theatre season that has included companies such as the Bell Shakespeare Company, Oz Opera, the Australian Ballet, the State Theatre Company of South Australia, Sydney Dance Company and Circus Oz.
The Theatre seats 487 people, and has excellent sight lines from all angles in the auditorium.
The theatre is extensively equipped, with a full counterweighted flying system, a fully equipped stage with masking, cyclorama, scrims and cinema screen, a comprehensive computerised lighting system (with an extensive lamp stock), and a state of the art audio system suitable for all events, from live music to cinema. The theatre is also fully equipped for the projection of both film and digital images.
Once your event has been booked, our Technical Manager will assist you in coordinating all your technical production requirements.

The theatre hire charges include the costs of use for the vast majority of equipment listed in the Technical Specifications with the exception of a small number of items including the video/data projector.
