Araluen Arts Centre's COVID Safety

Our Safety Plan has been approved by the Northern Territory Govenment and we encourage all visitors to familiarise themselves with these guidelines to ensure a smooth visit to both our galleries and theatre.

  • We kindly remind you to keep 1.5m away from others, and to avoid face-to-face contact with people not from your group to less than 15 minutes
  • Please make use of the hand sanitiser available throughout the building or wash your hands thoroughly if they are visibly dirty
  • Most importantly, please stay home if you are unwell

In the Araluen Galleries we have temporarily limited the allowable number of visitors to 30 people at a time for social distancing purposes. It is also strongly recommended all visitors download the COVIDSafe app prior to visiting.

Additional measures have been put in place for visitors to the theatre that include:

  • Seating arrangements have been put in place to ensure appropriate social distancing in the auditorium, including removing access to every second row and leaving three spare seats between each group. This means that the maximum number of audience members seated in the auditorium is 100.
  • To ensure we can provide social distancing in our seating plans, we will not be able to offer online ticket sales for the time being. Please call the Araluen Box Office on 8951 1122 to purchase tickets.
  • We will require a name and contact phone number be provided upon purchase of tickets. This information will only be passed onto the Chief Medical Officer of the Northern Territory in the event of an outbreak to allow contact tracing to occur.
  • We strongly encourage visitors to book their tickets ahead of time to help get you get seated quickly on the night of your event
  • To mitigate the risks of queuing, we will have both the Eastern and Western toilets open for use, as well as the Eastern and Western doors for entry into the auditorium
  • We ask that if you are unwell on the night of an event to not attend and risk exposure to other patrons
