Araluen Arts Centre invites Alice Springs to the launch of its Season 2020 Program

The Department of Tourism, Sport and Culture’s Araluen Arts Centre invites Alice Springs to join us at the launch of the Season 2020 program on Thursday 6 February.

“The Araluen Arts Centre is excited to unveil an adventurous year of theatre and exhibitions, featuring familiar favourites, as well as emerging and household name performers to suit all tastes,” Senior Director of the Araluen Cultural Precinct, Felicity Green said.

“We are inviting the community to a special night, featuring a live performance by one of the treats on offer from Season 2020. Without giving anything away, we’ve also revised the event format, making this years’ launch a timely opportunity to see the Araluen Arts Centre through fresh eyes.”

“As well as the ever-popular tribute bands, this year we’re adding a touch of jazz and classical to our musical palette. We have contemporary children’s shows with audience participation, and a diverse range of theatre. We feature an award-winning magician and mentalist, top drawer stand-up, and the usual smorgasbord of arthouse cinema, festivals, awards, as well as a very special year for Desert Mob. We have sculpture, photography, paintings and more. The 2020 program features some of the best national performing arts companies, significant travelling exhibitions from major institutions, and local artists to entertain and inspire Central Australians.

“Our launch night will be a great opportunity to renew your Araluen Membership for the year, which provides a range of benefits such as discounted tickets and special events. Naturally we always welcome new members, and anyone who signs up at the launch will go into the draw to win a fantastic prize: double passes to four of the biggest shows on the Season 2020 program.”

Tickets for all shows will be on sale at the box office and you can take home a hard copy program to browse at your leisure. The full Season 2020 program will be on sale at the Araluen website from Friday 7 February.

The Season 2020 Program Launch will be on Thursday 6 February from 5:30 – 6.30pm.
