Thousands flock to the Araluen Arts Centre precinct for the buzzing Desert Mob 2025 Marketplace!
Presented by Desart, the large art market offers the opportunity to acquire works directly from the artists who created them. View and purchase paintings, ceramics, punu, weavings, sculptures, textiles, clothing, jewellery, homewares, merch and more from 35 Aboriginal-owned art centres from across Central Australia.
Experience the richness and diversity of desert art with workshops and activations on offer throughout the day plus performances, interviews and live radio broadcast by 8CCC Community Radio.
MARKETPLACE PROGRAM OF EVENTS:
10 AM – Marketplace opens
10:30 AM – 12.30 PM Sgraffito Ceramics Demonstration by Ernabella Arts at Central Craft (free)
11 AM – 1 PM Yarrenyty Arltere Artists Soft Sculpture Workshop in the Araluen Arts Centre foyer (free)
Sat 11:30 AM – 1:30PM + Sun 10 AM – 12 PM Hermannsburg Potters Ceramics Workshop at Central Craft (ticketed)
The Marketplace is a free event open to all the community.
Food and beverages will be available to purchase on the day.
