Is it a blanket or is it artwork?

Come along to Territory Quilts 2026 Exhibition (TQ26) and decide for yourself. 

Quilters from across the Northern Territory have been busy creating textile artworks in the form of patchwork and quilts. The Alice Springs Quilting Club is hosting this year’s Exhibition, TQ26. On display will be the work of very experienced quilters and novice quilters, featuring a variety of traditional and modern, large and small quilts, table runners, pillows and art quilts. TQ26 will be held at Witchetty’s Gallery, Araluen Arts Centre, Larapinta Drive from 3-10 October, between 10am - 4pm and entry is free.

This year’s Exhibition is a Judged event with Australian Quilting accredited judge, Heather Ford from interstate, critiquing the entries in several categories. There is also a viewer’s choice award, so come along and vote for your favourite. A very special thanks to our major sponsor Bernina Australia and many local and interstate businesses for their sponsorship.

The Alice Springs Quilting Club meets regularly to share the love of patchwork and quilting at monthly meetings, friendship groups, sit and sew sessions and workshops to learn new techniques. At the Old Timers Fete a group of enthusiastic quilters known as Nimble Thimbles sold many items and the funds were then donated to the Old Timers Auxiliary.

Be sure to get your raffle tickets too! This year’s Raffle Quilt will be on display at Yeperenye Shopping Centre on Friday and Saturday prior to the Exhibition.
