Workshop with Aretha Brown
Join Gumbaynggirr artist Aretha Brown for a playful, hands-on beading workshop that invites participants to explore colour, pattern and creative expression.
Open to people of all ages and backgrounds, the workshop celebrates the often-unseen labour of beading, recognising the time, patience and care that goes into each piece.
Through repetitive, meditative making, participants are encouraged to slow down, connect with one another and create patterns that resonate with them through the reclamation of beading as a feminine activity.
Blending sculpture, feminine Blak joy, and intentional making, this workshop celebrates how small, tangible acts of creativity can bring people together, fostering connection, accessibility and a shared sense of community.
This is a free workshop, but bookings are essential.
