Winner of the X Factor and Eurovision Song Contest Finalist, Isaiah Firebrace comes to Alice Springs with live concert

The Department of Tourism, Sport and Culture’s Araluen Arts Centre presents the winner of X Factor Australia 2016 and top ten Eurovision Song Contest Finalist, Isaiah Firebrace, live in Alice Springs in a two hour concert spectacular.

“We are excited to be welcoming Isaiah Firebrace to the Araluen Arts Centre. Isaiah grew up in a small rural community and has followed his dream to become one of Australia’s successful recording artists. Isaiah has had a very successful career: winning The X Factor Australia, supporting Jessica Mauboy on her Australian tour, representing Australia at Eurovision in 2017 and releasing a single that has had more than 170 million international streams.” Senior Director of the Department of Tourism, Sport and Culture’s Araluen Cultural Precinct, Felicity Green said.

Isaiah grew up in Moama, a town with a population of just over 5,000 people and he frequently spent six hours travelling each weekend to attend singing lessons. His persistence has paid off with his single It’s Gotta Be You going double platinum in Sweden and platinum in Australia.

“Isaiah’s hard work is testament to his commitment and passion for music. It provides evidence that anyone from a small town can achieve their dreams.” Felicity Green said.

Isaiah’s performance will coincide with his BEYOND workshop, an opportunity for local 12-25 year old aspiring singers to work closely with Isaiah and learn about his journey from a small town to the international stage.   

“The BEYOND workshop is a great opportunity to learn from Isaiah and his band and will culminate in the group learning his song Spirit which they will then perform as part of the Saturday night show,” Felicity Green said.

Isaiah Firebrace will perform at the Araluen Arts Centre on Saturday 19 October, 8.00pm.

The BEYOND workshop with Isaiah Firebrace will take place at the Araluen Arts Centre at 1.00pm on Saturday 19 October. Interested participants can email the Araluen Arts Centre on araluen@nt.gov.au to book their free place (limited positions available).
