EO

Adventure

With his first film in seven years, legendary director Jerzy Skolimowski (Deep End, Moonlighting) directs one of his most free and visually inventive films to date. Following the travels of a curious Gray Sardinian donkey named EO. After being removed from the traveling circus, EO begins a trek across the Polish and Italian countryside, experiencing the highs and lows of society, all the while never for a moment losing his innocence. During his travels, EO is both helped and hindered by the people he meets including a young Italian priest (Lorenzo Zurzolo), a Countess (Isabelle Huppert), and a rowdy Polish soccer team that adopt him as their mascot.

“No movie that I’ve seen this year has moved me as deeply” New York Times

Through stunning visuals including a cinema first ‘donkey vision’ and a haunting score, master filmmaker Jerzy Skolimowski invites the audience to see the world through the eyes of its four-legged perspective, exploring the good and bad of humanity through EO’s distinctive non- human perspective. The most highly honoured international film of the year, Skolimowski’s Cannes Jury Prize winning and Oscar nominated new film is a truly and significant and unique cinematic experience that demands to be seen.

“Like most good art, EO is better felt than interpreted or completely understood” Observer
