Flickerfest 2023
Celebrating its 32nd year, Flickerfest, is Australia’s only Academy® Award and BAFTA qualifying short film festival and the country’s largest Australian and international short film competition. Selected from over 3000 entries, Flickerfest screens shorts from Australia and the world ensuring the presentation of A-list short film programs recognised amongst the best in the world.
Flickerfest returns to Alice Springs with a once-a-year one-off chance to see the best of Australian and international short films officially selected for the Flickerfest National Tour program from the festival screenings under the summer stars at Bondi Beach, before they continue their journey around the world.
Over two evenings a selection of the most entertaining and innovative comedy short films (on Friday night) and Australia's finest short films (on Saturday night) from the Flickerfest competition sreen on the Circus Lawns, behind the Araluen Theatre.
