Landscape Drawing Workshop with Kim Mahood

Kim is offering a weekend drawing workshop as part of her artist’s residency at Araluen. The two-day workshop will concentrate on the practice of drawing from the landscape, using plein air techniques, traditional and experimental approaches, and critical feedback. 

Location: White Gums, Bullen Road, Ilparpa

Day 1 will focus on exploring a variety of approaches to drawing directly from the landscape.
Day 2 will focus on helping participants to consolidate their more successful experiments, working in a studio-style environment if preferred.

Please bring your own materials and equipment.

Essential:        

• Surfaces to draw on.
• Materials to draw with. These can include charcoal, graphite, ink, pastel, oil stick, gouache and watercolour.

Optional:

• Drawing board and clips
• Easel
• Folding chair, folding table
• Anything else you think will be useful.

Please also bring your own food and drinks. There will be facilities to make tea.

Numbers are limited to 12. Cost per person is $100
