Desart, the peak body for Central Australian Aboriginal Arts centres, is proud to present Desert Mob 2026 Artist Talks.

Artist Talks is an unmissable opportunity for audiences to hear firsthand from Aboriginal artists and special guests about their work and projects, community and country. In 2026, Artist Talks also celebrates the Vincent Lingiari Art Award by honouring the anniversary of the Wave Hill Walk-Off and 50 years of land rights with a special presentation by the Central Land Council.

PROGRAM SCHEDULE:

Morning tea available from 9:00 AM in the Araluen Arts Centre Foyer.

Theatre doors open from approximately 9:30 AM for a 10:00 AM start.

Artist Talks concludes at 3:30 PM.

Artist Talks is one of many events that makes up Desert Mob, one of the nation’s most significant Aboriginal art events. Desert Mob is an unmissable celebration of the art, stories, cultural connection and vitality of hundreds of artists from 35 Art Centres across central desert Country.
