Garret Lyon | Circles
A live 70mins concert + encore with talented 33yo singer/songwriter & proud Darumbal & Wulli-Wulli man Garret Lyon supported by MD Tallis Tutunoa on acoustic guitar & backing vocals. The concert will feature a repertoire of Garret’s original songs including his September 2023 single ‘Circles’ (44,672 streams worldwide) produced by Mitch 'Maximo' Pattagulan and new material. This project - concert and music workshops- supports communal & cultural outcomes using live performance as a catalyst.

A proud Darumbal & Wulli-Wulli man born and raised in Rockhampton, Central QLD, Garret grew up being influenced by the sounds of 90s R&B as well as Pop and Country music. A graduate of ACPA in Brisbane (Advanced Diploma in Music), in recent years, apart from releasing his own original songs, Garret has built an enviable reputation in the music industry for his vocal abilities, working with such names as Leah Purcell, Rhoda Roberts, Casey Donovan, Bernard Fanning & Troy Casser-Daley. Garret represented Indigenous Australia at the World Expo in Dubai, performed on the main stage at Meanjin's Big Gay Day, produced two shows for First Nations festivals and has also featured as lead in many stage shows.
Seen on the Australian Version of The Voice 2023, this tour will provide a live showcase of Garret’s original songs as well as his obvious love for music & performing.
Joining Garret on the road will be a talented musician and musical director Tallis Tutunoa, a proud Polynesian woman, on guitar & backing vocals.
The concert’s repertoire of original songs by Garret including his 2023 release ‘Circles’, ranges from intimate acoustic R&B/Pop music to rhythmic country songs. The tour theme is based on the song ‘Circles’ about the power and importance of self- belief, with a storyline of family, culture, love & never giving up on yourself interwoven throughout. ‘Circles’ is a show about strength & hope. This collection of songs will feature Garret’s powerful vocals as a singer/songwriter whilst appealing to a wide audience with its pop country feel.

- ’Circles’ - Released in 2023. Features Tallis Tutunoa on guitar. Produced by Mitch 'Maximo' Pattagula, this pop/R & B track, influenced with a late 90s sound is all about the frustrations of dating.
- ‘Missed Out On Love’ - Garret’s debut single, an upbeat pop/dance track produced by Mitch 'Maximo' Pattagulan which quickly became Garret’s most popular song at his live shows. Now an acoustic version.
- ‘Belong To You’ - mid tempo R&B/Pop track about accidentally falling for someone with the nostalgic sound of early 90s new Jack swing music.
- ‘Baby Boy’ - fun up tempo pop track with cheeky, wash lyrics and a melody that hooks you right away. The song was written in 2013 as fun summer jam!
- ‘Vibe’ - sassy fun and new direction recorded with Grammy winning producer DJ Sefru (Chris Brown). It’s a breakup song that’s sure to have you vibing along.
